i don’t agree w/ libertarians on most things except for when it comes to taxation and representation. if you pay taxes you should get to vote. that goes for prisoners and anyone else btw. and people who live in u.s. territories like puerto rico.

You had me concerned at first but won me over in the end there. For a society to be free of corruption we are required to treat even the lowest of our citizens with respect and fairness. Because if being a prisoner means you aren’t human, then what will save you when what’s considered a criminal is changed?

either prisoners shouldn’t pay taxes or they should be allowed to vote while incarcerated. i don’t really care which one, but one of them should be put in place.

exactly. there should be no exceptions to this. if you pay into the government of this country, and line the pockets of senators, then those senators not only should properly represent you, but MUST represent you.

True but I think this also just goes into “we need to treat our prisoners better”. Most prisoners aren’t serial killers they’re people who like got caught with cocaine or something, they’re an easy target and are practically modern day slaves!
