I consider myself to be left-wing but Can someone explain to me why it is such an issue to say "no we don't want a trillion immigrants who won't integrate into our customs/culture/society and will cause it to change into something unrecognizable”

The melting pot works well when everything melts together. Not so much when you have someone just randomly throwing shit in there, and you can see the clumps starting to form.
