Definitely mix of factors. I doubt climate change is much of one right now though.

Have you looked at the numbers? This is proven wrong with like a 2 second google search

I think you have it backwards. The northeast and cali are top spots for outbound moves. The south/sunbelt and mountain west are growing extremely quickly. They are cheaper and less restrictive, that is what business-minded northeasterners and californians want.

That’s because there’s a myth of the sun belt growth that was at least true until 2023

Sun belt is still seeing the highest growth in the U.S. in 2026. No idea where you’re getting your data from

Look Chicago and Detroit have grown in population in the last 3 years

They’re not outpacing the sunbelt though. Your post seems to imply that those areas have overtaken the sunbelt in growth when that’s not the case.

Plus homicide rates are at their lowest rates since the early 1960s and mid 1950s and look at this map

No they are I’ve heard tons of people talk about Oakland and Los Angeles recently heck South Central LA and Compton isn’t even majority black anymore and have their lowest homicide rates since the mid 1950s and early 1960s, plus many people formerly in crack houses are now in nursing homes because the original source of the crack the contras is dead and can you acknowledge the data in front of you?

That’s not true at all. Seriously I’m concerned for you. Where on earth are you getting your data. This is borderline troll vibes at this point

No they aren't. Follow numbers. A left-wing-owned news source talking about GDP and poverty in dem vs rep states completely ignores that historically, those states were business-friendly. The new left is anti-business, so all of that new government ends up pushing the wealthy and middle classes out.

Disagree they’re anti business. Wealthy people historically will do just about anything to preserve their wealth portfolios. By moving to cheaper states they fan preserve more of it through lower taxes, etc. just because it’s “bad” for business owners, doesn’t = bad for business in general.

I don’t know what to say boss. Pretty weak argument across the board between changing topics and finally showing sources that barely support your point.
