Word concept fallacy, politicians arent talking about a hypothetical utopian thing, which definitionally cant be a disaster because if its not utopia, it didnt happen. Theyre talking about the societies that defined themselves as communist, and the ideology they hold.

Look at modern china. Run by the Communist Party, yet they have private corporations. You really gonna say that’s communism in practice? The world’s second largest economy is communism is practice? Words have definitions for a reason.

So you’re just going to ignore that entire era of Mao? If anything, the fact that they’re now state capitalist proves that communism isn’t sustainable.

You miss the part where I said I wasn’t a communist? I don’t think communism can be realistically implemented, and it hasn’t been. Looking at historical “communist” countries, none of them are actually communist in practice, most weren’t even socialist in practice. No cope. Just historical accuracy.

There are a few that you could argue were socialist in practice and were fairly successful but sabotaged due to capitalist interference such as Burkina Faso under Thomas Sankara, when the US backed a coup because of their success
