as in the income tax gets progressively higher as your income increases not necessarily that it’s ideologically progressive

Idk if I’m just missing something or what but it makes sense to me, our income tax system isn’t progressive at all so he’s questioning why the article is claiming that it’s progressive

It’s technically progressive because the tax rate increases as your income level increases. I think the headline might be trying to argue it’s technically and politically progressive but idk

by the definition, it is a progressive system, which #2 explained. but progressive has two meanings here, socially progressive and progressive rates. i fully believe hank knows this, especially because of the subheading which would be what mpu is focusing on. just baffling to me
