Ehh honestly idk if it will. I could see this being the case only if our environment deteriorates to the point where meat is prohibitively expensive. Otherwise I think meat will always be an option bc people just have strong cultural distaste of plant based meat substitutes. Although I could see lab grown meat becoming the most prevalent option while farm raised meat could be the luxury option

I mean considering a lot of the projections are breakdown in global supply lines around 2050, we’ll at the very least start having major issues then

In America tho? I’m not an expert on agricultural logistics but doesn’t American meat production pretty much rely on American products? For feed and whatnot?

Agriculture outputs are gonna dip greatly as the Great Plains get warmer and dryer

Ok yeah, that was what I was sayin above, I could totally see it happening if the environment gets bad enough to where we just can’t raise enough cattle. Still I think by that point we’ll probably be on the lab grown meat route not so much the plant based route

I went on a date with a vegan once. I made sure to pick out a vegan place that she never went to. The owner was a gay guy who’s been out and vegan since the 70s and even broke a lot of different barriers for both. Gave us free samples, made everything himself, and a lot of his stuff was spot on
