Basic population math is a factor, but it is solvable in the short and medium term, without turning to conservatism or bigotry. How? Tax the rich. In Germany the richest 10 percent of the population own around 67 percent of all private wealth. The richest 1 percent own around 35 percent, and the top 0.1 percent as much as 20 percent. -German Institute for Economic Research
