The government has turned MLK into a tool. They whitewashed him, removed any acknowledgment of his class equality and anti-war activism, and fed us a watered down version of him that says “resistance is when you act nicely” which doesn’t acknowledge the economic disruption of his protests or that he was far from the only civil rights leader.
