A case study: When Kamala Harris ran for President, she sold out virtually EVERY “woke” issue progressives support in the name of moderate politics. All she did was alienate her base because anti-woke voters will always choose the violent fascist.

How is Trump a fascist? I just looked up the definition (single leader with no tolerance for opposition, extreme nationalism, censorship, militarism) and Trump doesn’t check any of those boxes

1. That’s not a particularly useful definition of fascism IMO (I’ll propose one I think is better in a moment) 2. Trump checks all of those boxes except (arguably) single leader with no tolerance for opposition

The only reason it doesn’t seem like it is because of the strength of our democratic government structure. The fact that his base is built around extreme nationalism, he’s willing to bulldoze through countless judicial orders and is shamelessly calling for the death of his opposition- oh sorry, I mean “anti American, pro transgender anarchists” all point to fascistic tendencies.

Fascism is better defined as a far-right nationalist ideology characterized by - A mythological, past golden age of nat’l identity - Blame upon one or more “scapegoat” minority groups for national decline from that golden age - Promise to restore the golden age by oppressing scapegoats and state coordination of private industry. All of which describe the Trump admin to a tee.

I think it’s fair to call him a wannabe fascist, but I don’t true fascism is really possible with the makeup of our government

Respectfully, I think that’s a naive opinion to have at best.

He’s not a wannabe fascist, he IS a fascist, navigating a decidedly anti authoritarian governmental structure. Kinda the same thing as what you said but I wouldn’t give him any leeway. Fascism isn’t something to aspire towards, it’s a ideology

No YOU aren’t taking it seriously enough. Just because it’s not currently as bad as other fascist regimes in history doesn’t mean it’s not still textbook fascism

They’re not watering down the meaning of anything. We LITERALLY have concentration camps in the U.S. They LITERALLY contracted to have incinerators installed on-site and 1/3 of the people take to Alligator Alcatraz have LITERALLY gone missing in DHS custody.

Yeah it’s not so much watering down so much as the definition of concentration camps is much broader than what people believe because of the terms charged history. Americans had concentration camps in WW2 as well, they just weren’t death camps

Do you have a source for the incinerators? I saw some nonpartisan orgs like PolitiFact fact check and debunk this claim

It seems you’re right about the incinerators, I was misinformed about that. However, per the Miami Herald the number of inmates in Alligator Alcatraz whose whereabouts cannot be determined is actually a good deal higher than I realized.
