alternatively i don’t get why people think he’s a grifter bc if you want to easily get support for political takes you’d grift to the right bc the left everyone hates and attacks other lmao no one’s ever woke enough or they’re too woke
I got into Hasan around 2020 as I learned more about socialism and what it actually is. Nowadays, I’m still a socialist, but I don’t watch Hasan’s political content, but I listen to his Fear& podcast, where he’s just a guy. I honestly don’t get the hate.

one thing you can say about the right is they present as a united front ig

I mean the reason why people think he’s a grifter is because he owns a kinda ridiculously sized house and a Porsche despite being a socialist, also he doesn’t pay his editors that well

Much less infighting, there’s leftists who label Hasan as a Zionist bc he platforms Bernie Sanders and AOC 💀

I think it goes both ways, he also does a lot of good supporting progressive campaigns, introducing Gen Z men to left-wing politics, and with fundraising for progressive causes

I mean idk about introducing gen-z men to left wing politics, I’ve never really seen his stats on viewers but all the people who I know that like him are all women lmao

his viewership skews heavily male, primarily older Gen Z and younger millennial like 25-34 years old, 70-80% male

yeah, I tend to give him a bit more forgiveness considering he’s streaming hours a day and he’s no more than an influencer who promotes left-wing politics

Huh, interesting. I mean also his viewers aren’t probably as big as you’d think due to twitch botting n stuff

Yeah the thing is that when he has a bad clip (like shocking his dog for example) it implicitly turns people off of leftism

he likely never shocked his dog tho, he showed the collar and it was merely a vibrational collar with GPS, it’s just a right-wing hit job tbh bc it’s hard to prove you didn’t do something versus proving you did

Ngl that clip is damning, and he didn’t show the collar until later and it looked like he covered it in tape, I mean I’m just saying it’s a bad look not that I particularly even think he’s a bad person (at least not as bad for the country as the current admin)

based on how much the dog clearly loves him and wants to be around him all the time and how she’s out of frame on stream all the time i never understood why so many people hopped onto this shock collar controversy

but also i don’t get why being wealthy is antithetical to supporting socialist policy

Well it’s not being wealthy it’s wasting money on designer clothes, fast cars, and a multi bedroom house

yea i don’t see how any of that contradicts the idea that it is the responsibility of the government to provide services and protections to its citizens and the us is very behind in terms of public resources

it was only $200k, plus I see having a massive progressive voice on a platform like Twitch or YouTube as highly valuable when compared to the size and scale of the alt-right pipeline, tbh I think he does a lot of good with who he platforms politically, reaching out to young men, and holding fundraisers for progressive causes and labor organizations
