Was trying to explain to one of these types about how the CBO actually estimated universal healthcare would cost about 40% LESS than what we’re currently spending, and he was all “yeah, but the CBO is a *government* organization, ofc they tell you that!” … a government organization currently headed by Republicans, so yeah. They def ain’t lying to try and make the govt look good.

I had someone make a very similar argument about the department of agriculture lmao, when I was talking about how prices are not in fact down on just about anything, cause I made a joke about trump rolling back the tariffs to lower prices
