Tbh I feel like the Lusitania is kind of a spurious justification. It was a British ship. The passengers were notified of the danger. And then we didn’t enter the war until two years later, and got way more Americans killed than had happened before. And this wasn’t even like World War Two where one side was noticeably worse than the other.
