tell me any thought you have on the concept of god or the afterlife (preferably an original one, outside of mainstream religion)

I think that it’s like a multiverse. All of these different afterlife’s exist, because people made them exist, but I think that we’ll just be able to wander and do whatever we want.

not original I think a God exists, but I think it is extremely unlikely that anyone cares about us beyond ourselves, unfortunately

i got this fun amalgamation of the Buddhist believe of the six realms with Karma being fair, and that reincarnation exists for some of us sometimes, but at the same time i believe there’s like a limbo before all that sets in where it’s kind of like a heaven, but it’s more like a small city for people to wait around in before they move on or if they’re meeting someone as they come through. chat with strangers, celebrities, family, friends, etc. until you move on in the cycle of afterlife. :-)

Agnosticism is technically correct in the sense that it is genuinely impossible to assert anything about the afterlife/the supernatural by definition, but it's almost completely certain that nothing's out there. Also most common beliefs (esp occult/new age ones such as manifestation) trace back to someone or other in the 1800s who was pretty blatantly lying

God isn’t supernatural it’s something technological that we consider supernatural

There isn’t one. We live on through our loved ones and our actions

Personally I think there’s probably no afterlife, you just stop. And that’s hard for us to conceptualize because it’s the absence of being. Not rest, not dark, just not there. And I’m fine with that tbh. Everything has to come to an end, even you. But like, even if there is an afterlife or whatever, I don’t live for what the afterlife will be like. I just try to be good to other people, even at their lowest, because it’s how I’d want them to treat me back, even at my lowest.

The universe is some kind of system that retains a “memory” of every event to ever take place via quantum fuckery. Every person to ever live is still contained in this memory

you dont think god would find it interesting that in a sea of energy, particles and elements, some of them clustered so perfectly to where it can actually think and question its own existence?

also i’d like to think if there is a God to meet in the afterlife, it’d be like a manifestation of what would be your perfect complement as an individual — like immediate BFF vibes as if you’ve always known each other and immediately kick it off like old friends with no discomfort or awkwardness. like dap me up and let’s drink some wine on the edge of a cloud, homie.

There is an imprint of every interaction of every particle left over in spacetime. Your consciousness is the result of zillions of quantum interactions. Every single one is recorded. In theory, every single thing that makes you who you are can be reconstructed, even by itself, if enough time passes

If I’m rewarded for that than fine ig, I don’t really care because I’m not expecting it. If I’m punished for not believing in the right thing than well, that’s just not fair. I’m not going to believe something is good or right just because I’ll be punished if I don’t. Anyway, those are my thoughts on someone who was raised in like an evangelical cult and had to do a lot of work on my mental health bc of it

I will say, I like the idea that my body will decompose eventually and become part of the earth. Like, it makes me feel more connected to those who came before me and those who’ll come after me, we were all humans, and we all died and decomposed, and we’re all living in a world shaped by the people who came before us, for better and for worse.
