It’s bc the DNC would much rather supporting this fascist acceleration if opposing it means adopting any worker-oriented policy or positions. They can’t openly do that though, because then the facade of the two-party system would be revealed, and all remaining delusions about “reforming institutions” would finally wither away. In all honesty, it’s brilliant as much as I despise it.

According to other dem leaders who’d spent weeks trying to convince him to drop out, they told him the voters needed some form of open primary and he backstabbed them to support Kamala.
