
There’s a distinction between divine judgment and what humans are allowed to do. God, as the giver of life, has the authority to judge nations. Humans don’t have that authority on their own. The difficult part of faith is trusting that God has reasons and justice beyond what we fully understand.
It’s easy to try to argue science vs religion. But they are on two different playing fields. I believe science is accurate but god exists outside of space and time. Therefore, the “days” of creation may not have been literal days and the scientific estimate is accurate for the evidence we have. I believe that god created the laws of the universe and matter in a way that led us to where we are today, but that he knows exactly how it would and will pan out.
