Kars4Kids is one of the most deceptive charities out there. They almost exclusively give money to Orthodox Jews in the NYC metro area for them to go to summer camp and visit Israel

I think that the promotion of Yiddish culture in America among non-orthodox Jews is very important, because these days Yiddish is rapidly becoming a language only of the ultra-orthodox. It’d be a shame for it to end up like Pennsylvania Dutch, where the language only survives among isolated fundamentalists. Plus, America is one of the only places where Yiddish preservation can be pursued, due to Yiddish being persecuted heavily in Israel in favor of Hebrew.

It’s an Ashkenazi camp that promotes Yiddish. How is the use of that word weird? Also i want to note that word is used on the Wikipedia article but not on the Camp Kinderland website
