Liberal Zionist love to pretend that the main issue with Israel is Bibi when actually it’s Zionism. Polls consistently show us that the vast majority of the population are okay with genocide. Hell 56% from this one even supported getting rid of all

Arabs living in Israel proper. Also 47% though killing innocents is okay as long as they’re from an enemy country.

I’m so sick of democrats pretending that the issue is just one person and not the entire fucking “country”

Just wondering has anyone knows what actually happened on October 6-7, 2023 in kibbutz before labeling genocide?

Idk i feel like these polls could be faked or something so the govt can justify it. There have been huuuge protests against what’s going on in Israel

What do the polls in Gaza say about the Jews in Israel?

true. I think it definitely is a societal/systemic level issue but i think we should still be careful not to make it seem like everyone in Israel supports this

yeah i feel like polling really reflects the larger issue. Unfortunately the Israel regime is abusing their power and making everything worse

Is your point that Palestinians hate Israelis because Israel is genociding them? I don't think there are any polls like that. Feel free to link one. Maybe Israel should stop committing genocide though if that's what you're worried about.

The point you’re ignoring is that Palestinians allegedly have a negative perception of Jews/Israelis due to actions being done. Okay. Israeli’s allegedly have a negative perception of Palestinians due to what is being done. Why is part 2 so hard to grasp? It’s been finger pointing at who started it for literal centuries so either you support retaliation when you think the other started it, or you want the conflict to end. Pick one, can’t have both

I think you're making that up. In my experience they don't have a negative view, they just want to stop being bombed. And everyone knows who started it lmao. Israel didn't exist 80 years ago. Palestine did.

And it's not a conflict. It's a genocide. I'll block you if you call it a "conflict" again

I think the overwhelming majority of people in Israel do support it (much more then 50% given any random topic) and it is a waste of breath to clarify "but not all Israelis!" each time we talk about this.

Like yes, there are people born there who do not support it. But also, for the most part, the people prostrating are protesting Bibi himself for making Israel look bad, not protesting the genocide itself.

There is no “in your view,” there’s reality. There was a negative view before they were being bombed. Things were not dandy under British occupation.

Was there a genocide in 1947? No. So why was there animosity then? Actually understanding what’s going on is literally step 1 to ending it

I get it, I just think it makes things worse because then they can keep pushing the narrative that Israelis are victims of discrimination which the Netanyahu regime does use to justify cruelty against people who go against them. I also think it’s important because we are advocating for an end to the indiscriminate killing of innocent civilians which applies to them too

Okay and? That doesn't change the historical conflict between each side that has been going on since before the settler colonialism started

the Balfour declaration and British lies about the Palestinian mandate are where the origins of the modern conflict lie. this conflict is not some ancient battle between Arabs and Jewish peoples. it is wholly to do with colonialism and nationalism, things that were introduced to the Levant following the French and British dismantle of the Ottoman Empire, in the interests of projecting power over the region

Anonymous replying to -> _orangutan 11w

The conflict changed then, but it was not birthed then. There was not peace under British occupation nor ottoman. So the idea that “just stop the bombs” will have everyone live together in peace kumbaya is not productive nor true

You can’t just keep ignoring reality dude. So there’s a genocide: How did we get here? How to proceed? Are these ideas actually supported by the people who live there? What does a post genocide Palestine look like? Are those goals supported by historical precedent? Like you can’t just keep going “muh genocide” and expect that to be productive in the slightest in ending it, right,

Also are we just forgetting that the Ottoman Empire was seen as a safe haven for Jews escaping pogroms. Obviously it wasn’t perfect but you’re making it sound like the conflict is somehow backed into their DNA & not due to colonialism

https://www.hrw.org/news/2024/07/17/october-7-crimes-against-humanity-war-crimes-hamas-led-groups It was a music concert that turned horror by massacre led by Hamas they attacked both from air and land. Shots, everyone and the community, they kill parents in front of their children, burn houses with people inside. Kidnap and rape the girls they found.

The genocide of the Herero and Nama committed by Germany was in response to then revolting and massacring Germans in Namibia. Turkey continues to insist that the Armenian genocide was simply action against terrorist Armenians trying to genocide Turks. Multiple genocides of Native American tribes occurred after a raid killed Americans.

The actions of Hamas do not justify the mass murder of Palestinian children. Furthermore, Israel was already killing Palestinian kids in the West Bank before Hamas attacked. Israel massacred entire Palestinian villages decades ago. History didn’t start 3 years ago.

The point I’m making is literally step one to being able to find a lasting solution. “Muh genocide” does not end a genocide. People say go back to ‘67 borders and there will be peace. But there wasn’t peace in ‘67. People say go back to ‘48. But there wasn’t peace in ‘48. It’s been a shitshow for centuries. You can’t figure out solutions without acknowledging the problemS. Plural.

“It’s been a shitshow for centuries” bro what are you talking about the modern conflict is like 100 years old max. This shit about “Jews and Arabs have always been against each other” is so historically fake lol. Like OP said. They came to Palestine BECAUSE the Palestinians weren’t as violently antisemitic as Europeans.

They came to Palestine because Jews have a connection to the land, it had nothing to do with that lol. You don’t think in terms of raw safety the Jews would’ve picked Madagascar or Uganda over the shitshow in the Middle East? You might be the literal only person to try and claim the Middle East has been stable any time in the last like 4 centuries at least

The Jews coming to Palestine were primarily those fleeing antisemitic pogroms in Russia. Jewish charities like the Jewish Colonization Organization helped Jews to settle in Argentina, Cyprus, Turkey, America, Canada, and Palestine alike. Hell, Theodor Herzl openly said Argentina was an alternative to Palestine for a Jewish state.
