No? - Some Free bus routes has been successfully implemented in many cities - free childcare exists in many European countries, and heavily subsidized by the state in many others - Rent freeze is a mixed bag but has seen positive results in some cases. Obviously, because it is a temporary freeze it will not stay the same forever. But that’s not the goal… - mental health experts work in many cities

I certainly shouldn’t deal in absolutes by saying 100%, but I undoubtedly think you need a plethora of specific factors for these policies to be successful and I don’t think NY aligns with the successful examples/I feel like it’s next to impossible for them to achieve the same results

None of the “free” is free from my understanding, but it ultimately doesn’t affect me since I have no intention of living there, so if it’s truly what the city wants then I am happy for them
