60's babies have such crazy takes, it's crazy to see. My dad's the dame way; bro was a for-sure Republican voter and Reaganite til he got deployed during GWOT and was radicalized against the fossil fuel industry and Obama showed up. At that point he started moving to the center, and he now cites Obama and Reagan as the best presidents in his lifetime too. I think he has nostalgia for Reagan since he was a teen and life was simpler, but agreed with Obama's choices as an exec more.
