This is a leading and biased question. American poverty and lifestyles is not the same as the Congolese or the Yemeni. There are countries better off and also worse off depending on the metrics you use. All human suffering is bad, can we not turn everything into a comparison?

I think Americans who are rightfully critical of our country are way too quick to act like it is on par with the suffering in developing nations. Like yes we treat refugees terribly as one example, but there is a reason those refugees are trying to come here
