People who hate Marx have never actually read him, and also would benefit from his beliefs being implemented. I’m sure that’s not intentional 💀

China is literally plowing America feet over head style. Also, how well is capitalism treating you? Are you seriously telling me that groceries, housing, and education are affordable and centered around making your life easier? Also if you are a worker, not understanding Marx is bad for you. Pls lock in

China isn't doing as well as you think. Most of the "advancements" they have been making are just propaganda to make themselves look better. Not to mention that their industrialization, similar to the USSR's, lead to the deaths of tens of millions of people. Capitalism isn't perfect, it definitely has its issues, but at least we have different options for purchasing goods, and we can critique our ways of life without the threat of being executed by the government for it.

I've read some things, some reports from the Prussians that were spying on him while he was under supervision. If Marx was alive today, he would be comparable to the stereotypical virgin Redditor.

I meant works from Marx not works about Marx. How are you managing to do ad hominem on a dead guy?

From discussing with you I get the impression that you do not actually understand capitalism nor Marxism, which is what I was calling out in my original post.

What's your definition(s) for both?

Marxism is the belief that society has historically been divided into class struggle, and that in order to advance humanity, the oppressive class dynamics must stop. Marxism relies on material understandings of the world, meaning the belief that the world (including our thoughts) is shaped by real, measurable, conditions. Marxism is a very complex ideology but that is a general overview

As Marx understands it, and I agree, capitalism simplifies class society down into two primary classes: the proletariat (working class), and the bourgeoisie class (class who owns capital and private property). This classes are at odds with one another because the owning class exploits the workers from their labor. Workers who spend time on the assembly line never see the final product of their contribution, nor the profit they generated from their effort- which is how things worked b4 capitalism

TLDR: Marxism is the belief in advancing past class society, and capitalism is a system where the ruling class uses private property to exploit the working class
