to conservatives who feel conflicted about the epstein stuff and other recent trump blunders: you’re allowed to disavow trump and hardline maga without being afraid of coming across as a “vote blue no matter who” democrat, politics aren’t a team sport

I think Trump is a piece of shit human being. Obviously in the Epstein files, the Rob Reiner thing was disgusting, and many more. That being said I feel like I needed to vote for him to keep the “vote blue no matter who” ppl out of office

This! Vote them out in primaries. If they win the primary, then and only then should you feel the need to vote blue. My city has a progressive DA that republicans (and many moderates too) HATE. Republicans wrote in a Democratic judge in so much during the primary that he was able to run as a Republican in the general. Still lost, but it was the attempt that matters.

I’m gonna keep supporting Trump until actual evidence comes out or he’s arrested and charged for a crime. Otherwise all this is just hearsay. Anybody can say anything to the fbi (true or fiction) and they’d have to technically include it in the files

I don’t get how you can see the emails, the recent files, the birthday book, trump’s public comments, and the abundance of independent journalism around this topic and still willingly pull the wool over your eyes

Anyone can say anything to the FBI - but it sure is odd how so many people are saying the Same things about Trump. Independently. And with enough credibility to the investigation to have their names redacted.

then get involved in politics and support candidates you actually align with, accepting a deranged leader because you think it’s better than the alternative is a weak mindset

do you still believe that trump is an outsider who wants to “drain the swamp”? it doesn’t take a rocket surgeon to look at his background and actions and understand that he’s a swamp dweller himself

Is that not how all the “accept Biden” people were?

It’s not, but once it gets to the final two, sometimes you need to figure out who your politics align with more out of the two. Your vote matters and sometimes if you do 3rd party or write in, it’s kind of throwing it away. Anyone who writes in Kanye is wasting a vote. I think Trump has policies I accept over Kamala who had ZERO policies and refused to speak to any sort of media outlet. Trump campaigned even though there was a mass witch hunt against him and then took a bullet.

I mean yeah once you’re faced with your final options you should pick the more favorable/less evil one, but someone interested in politics should focus more on not ending up with two terrible options in the first place
