There are no christian countries. There are secular countries, which is most of them. I think the only country I can think of that calls itself “christian” is Russia

Funny you say christians only judge, yet their countries that used to be christian are actually secular now? Maybe they actually don't judge and let people in that want to be there?

ah, yes, because one day all christians collectively woke up like “wow i feel so generous and love other religions, let’s make this country secular because we’re such good people”

Exactly Christian nationalism tends to destroy countries that fully consider themself Christian’s

And don’t forget how much they love gay and trans people

And they did. Britain has gone from 99% British in 1960 to 74% today. That is kindness, that they are now regretting for good reason.

And given that muslims actually kill gay people legally while the law protects them in the US, I think we know who likes them more.

Then why were these countries so much stabler in the days of christian nationalism?

Dude we just want to live as ourselves we don’t want to pick sides with people who want us dead but historically in America it’s been religious leaders who have persecuted people in those communities or encouraged it or things like the kkk were based off of twisted religious views

Which is why j said what I did we are not a Christian country and never have been and if we were people like me would be killed by some psychopath saying he did it because god told him too

Not that all Christian’s are evil or will discriminate but there’s a very valid reason why I’m hesitant to trust people who are Christian because of religious abuse and persecution

They might have started that way but they slowly collapsed the issue with a country wide religion being enforced is that they tend to get rid of human rights based kn what they consider moral such as what I said about Christian nationalist countries killing lgbtq people like in Russia when a Christian majority or majority of any religion has total control it effects everything negatively such as the aids crisis where people wanted to let them die because they were gay and they said god cursed

So christian nationalism was a success for centuries, it produced the most powerful empires in the history of the world, and then somehow when the non-christians come in, it is the christians' fault that they failed? Come on.

So you believe Christianity should rule over everything? And no one should be allowed to believe anything but Christianity

So you don’t believe in freedom of religion or probably civil rights or LGBTQIA rights as those tend to disappear when Christian takeovers happen

Why you may ask Christian’s tend to not see lgbtqia people as people they only see us as what they disagree on or like I’m trans most Christians wouldn’t think twice about mocking me

Christian nationalism produced the most oppressive empires in the history of the world, and some of the bloodiest wars. You go read a history of the wars of religion and tell me christianity is a force for good in the world. They used to burn people alive, man, because they didn’t believe the right things. Rationalism has been the driving force for good in the world for the past 250 years, supported primarily by the USA.

Can we please stop using gay ppl as a reason to hate on Muslims. Queer here and I can’t stand the pink washing bullshit. Muslims don’t hate gay ppl anymore than Christian’s do but b/w the maga hat Christian or a Muslim in the Middle East I’m going to the Muslim. You throw stones in a glass house my friend

“The law protects them in the US” like the Christian church didn’t full on try to eradicate all the queers like less than 35 years ago. My grandfather survived the aids epidemic and it wasn’t Christian’s that helped him

Well no not really, but the USA was built on the foundation of being a safe haven to all religions as long as the people respect the democracy built here. It’s not founded as a Christian nation, its culture was eventually built that way because of its popularity. You’re forgetting that some pilgrims fled here to escape things associated with Christianity

I would also like to note that during most of these empires there was an almost perpetual state of civil war, mob violence and internal and external conflict that was much worse than it is today under secularism. England had invasions about every hundred years from christianization onwards, and England is an island which is particularly hard to invade.

Yes. They are poorer than any US state, there are no more jobs in many places, drug use is going up, sexual and physical violence are up. It is a horrible situation.
