I dont get people who support Palestine but are bystanders on the russia-ukraine conflict. Same for people that support ukraine but are bystanders on israel-palestine!

It’s a lot harder to feel sympathetic for Ukraine than it is for Palestine. Also, Ukrainians aren’t being genocided the way Palestinians are.

i remember when the first bombs dropped in Ukraine. i watched the clock turn to midnight for my 24th birthday and went “wee happy bday to me let me check twitter” and there was just droves of videos of the explosions with journalists going live via audio in those “spaces” (do those still exist?). i’ll never forget that night fr. i felt the weight of the world then.

I mean Russia is trying to deny the existence of Ukraine as a people and has been mass deporting Ukrainian children to Russia for forced assimilation

unfortunately, much much worse crimes are happening to Palestinian children… in addition to being targeted by Israeli settlers. it’s fucked up that we even can compare the atrocities of these wars. children don’t forget…
