Like #1 stated a lot of black ppl(mostly the older generations) are WAY more conservative and are only liberal on things that think would benefit them. When it comes to things like LGBTQ rights black ppl tend to be WAY more conservative.

a lot of it is black people tend to be more conservative then you would guess based on demographics. the population as a whole, and especially older black folks, tend to vote for centrist dems. Honestly the GOP would have more black voters then they do rn if they weren’t so openly racist

Like I said, the GOP would have way more black voters if they could keep the racism boner in their pants but they aren’t capable of that lmao Lots of this conservatism in black communities is due to decades of school underfunding and redlining. Less educated people tend to be conservative as a general trend
