Clean drinking water is NOT cheap 😭 vaccinating every child across the world against diphtheria, tetanus, and whooping cough (DTaP) so they have immunity throughout childhood might be possible (assuming 2.3B children, $6 for 3 doses (which is the cost in Africa under Gavi and UNICEF programs) to do 3 times though

Back of the envelope math says we could pay for clean, accessible (no hand pumps, no walking long distances) drinking water for everyone in Africa who doesn’t currently have it with about 2 Iran wars ($50-100B) 💀 but it could cost 5-10B/year to maintain it

and yet it’s cheaper than the war with iran. he’s spend 1.5 trillion on this war. clean drinking water for the entire world is estimated to be 150-300 billion. vaccinating every child would only be 20-50 billion a year. perspective sucks huh?
