The biggest thing I’ve never understood is how you can have a super strong belief and then as soon as your political party switches up you immediately follow suit. If I believe something to be wrong I’ll condemn it no matter which party it is

I mean this is kind of naive, no? Politics has always been a tribalistic game, people aren’t going to drop the worldviews they’ve been raised with since childhood because of something like this, as tragic as it is.

My values have not changed, nor will they ever. My opinion on whether or not the Republican Party is currently doing a good job representing them, though, has… greatly.
