Donating to food bank = Good Government mandating you give more of your hard earned money so they can inefficiency spend it on social programs = Bad If you really cared about your fellow man you’d read the words he’s saying when he talks to you

Man this sucks man you seem miserable. I’m gonna give to a food bank to help my community, the actual people around me trying to live their lives. The government isn’t mandating i do that it’s called being kind when you can. And again that bothers you because…????

Again, you’re not reading. I encouraged people to donate to food banks on their own volition. You’re getting mad about what you think I’m saying instead of reading what I’ve said. This post was about making government do it, I said leave it to the local food banks and those who choose to donate instead of taking EVERYONE’s money for inefficient spending.

You are not forced to live in society with social safety nets, go live in Sub Saharan Africa, become an expat. No one forcing you to spend money on these programs unless you want all the other benefits of the United States. You cannot have your cake and eat it too.
