Forcing your own daughter to carry a rapist’s baby at 10 years old is middle of the road Republican now?

It doesn’t matter if he was a “middle of the road republican” when you perpetuate racism and prejudice you’re a bad person. Your ideology is bad. Your morals are bad.

When you consider the average opinions of the right, yeah. That’s about what they all believe in.

When did I say you did? I’m explaining his position relative to the party is irrelevant if the position is still bad and objectively dangerous.😂

Well your comment doesn’t really mean anything in response to mine. My comment is about where he lies on the political spectrum of America. Not if he’s a pile of dog shit or not

It’s not relative. There are official, researched political alignments.

Right, and I was adding additional analysis by saying it doesn’t matter where he aligns relative to the “right”. The whole point of saying “um well he’s actually a moderate” is to make his views seem more reasonable, they aren’t. (And I’m not saying that was your objective in saying that).

It is relative. Compared to Nick Fuentes he is moderate

No, compared to Nick Fuentes he’s just not as right. He’s still right of center on any scale.

Ok my bad. Thought you were trying to negate my point. One can be middle of the road and still be dogshit with harmful views as we can see

Being closer to moderate is not the same as being “a moderate”. He was not A moderate, he was solidly right, just not an extremist. Which is what the post is saying

You’re confusing the position of being a centrist which is a position to being “moderate” which is relative and why it appears and can apply to every side of politics.

I’m not. Moderate has a definition in Political Science and Academia.

So he’s a moderate compared to Nick …

No, he’s not an extremist. You can say ‘more’ moderate in a direct one to one comparison to an extremist but ‘a’ moderate is a defined set of characteristics that he does not fit

No, I’m agreeing with the OP. The fact that you don’t know the difference between moderate as a verb and moderate as a noun is astounding

Okay, here’s a breakdown: OP said ‘he’s not a moderate (noun with a definition)’ You said ‘it’s relative because he’s moderate (adjective) compared to others’ I said ‘it’s not relative as a noun because it’s defined. OP is correct’

If you need further help: Noun = person, place, thing, concept either abstract or concrete Adjective = descriptive word

It’s not relative in the context of the post which says ‘a moderate’ meaning ‘a person who meets the defined characteristics of a person aligned moderately politically’

Yes a moderate relative to their position. Maybe he is a moderate relative to the ideological skew of the right.

He would be ‘more moderate’ relative to an extremist because you are using the word as an adjective. Not ‘a’ moderate which is a noun. The fact that you don’t understand the difference tells me you have little to no education in the science of politics.

He was definitely much further right than middle of the road republicans like John McCain and George Bush. Great replacement theory and hardcore anti immigration is extreme far right bs. Even Ronald Reagan celebrated immigration

The reality of American politics is that people like John McCain and George bush are closer to centrists than middle of the road republicans. You’ve got basically McCain/Bush/Romney type people closer to the left but still right, then people like Charlie Kirk, then alt right Candace Owens type, then fair rightoid nazis like Nick Fuentes. Majority of American republicans align with Kirk-ish beliefs. The left-right/middle-right aligns with Israel while the far right shrieks abt the “juice ppl”
