no my arguments make sense we have no control over how much a foreign leader gets payed, mandani’s salary has been the salary for new york mayors since de blasio, he makes about the same amount as vance and rubio makes about 100k less but the only people who can give them a pay raise, you feel they need, is congress

it wouldve been the first raise since 2016. fairly reasonable for an inflation adjustment but hes saying its not needed anyway. also, idk what committee youre talking about. the vote for a raise was passed by the new york city council, which is elected and not voted. so its not really corrupt man

and the advisory commission has the ability to make changes? or are they effectively irrelevant when it comes to actually making change other than making a recommendation. also, again, the QUADRENNIAL commission meets every four years, and even then? only last convened in 2015 so the advisory committee making a recommendation to adjust salaries for inflation after a decade is pure corruption? and purely mamdani?
