The president can take actions that directly impact gas prices, which is what Trump has done. That doesn’t mean gas prices are controlled by the president.

There’s a difference between A war starting on the other side of the globe, and STARTING a war on the other side of the globe (specifically right next to that little passage that transports a fuck ton of oil)
