Question for leftists, Would it be justified if the native Americans in Mississippi rolled into black majority towns and started killing people because they feel they have a right to the land?

No and it's not justified when Israel does it either

I actually it’s what Hamas is doing. Israel is defending itself

wow so you’re just completely misinformed. you just have literally no idea what’s actually happening in the world do you. it’s like you dropped a toddler in front of a non-stop Haaretz feed

So Hamas has been launching bathtub rockets into Israel for 40 years, Israel works to remove terrorist from the West Bank, then Hamas attacks and murder thousands of Israeli civilians in 2023, and now Israeli actually invades to stop the killings. What am I “misunderstanding“

Why is it terrorism when Hamas targets civilians but not Israel?

Haaretz is actually fairly critical of the war. This guy gets he’s news from the Times of Israel or Jerusalem Post or something like that.

Israel has murdered 300,000+ civilians in Gaza.

Bullshit. They’ve killed more people than Americans soldiers died in both world wars combined? Do you even listen to yourself?

It’s +73,000 Gazans and only 2,000 Israelis.

Bullshit? They leveled nearly every structure in the entire enclave, held 2+ million people in artificial famine for months, and have prevented any access to medicine for 2 years. A substantial portion of the population (upwards of 10%) have been “missing” for multiple years at this point. Israel is a bloodthirsty terrorist state.

Also to that comparison with WW2, yeah obviously? Not that many soldiers die in battle compared to how many civilians are killed when an army is intentionally attacking civilians. Most soldiers can barely shoot at the enemy.

I think most soldiers died outside of warfare. Like illness, unsanitary conditions, exposure ect.

This is also true. Idk what his point is, like the Japanese murdered more people in the Nanking Massacre alone than the entirety of all US casualties, so yeah I think 2 years of bombing a tiny, dense urban environment could eclipse that number too.

I looked it up, it was about 73,000 Gazan citizens and about 1,000 Israeli citizens

Also ur example doesn’t rlly work, seeing that we were forcibly brought here…Gazan people weren’t forced into the Gaza Strip lmao

That’s Israel’s figure on the casualties, which hasn’t been updated in over a year. It’s based on the Gaza Health Ministry’s numbers, which haven’t been updated because the infrastructure to do so has ceased to exist, and which was always an undercount because it was entirely based on corpses brought to hospitals which in many cases never happened.

fyi Gazans were literally forced into the Gaza strip… a large majority of the population are the children or grandchildren of refugees of Israel’s ethnic cleansing

I meant the area in general. Weren’t they already there prior to what’s known as Israel being given away?

It’s kind of a mess. I wasn’t trying to be combative, it’s just worth noting. We really don’t have good concrete numbers and won’t for a long time, but it’s safe to say the numbers are massive given the number of people reduced to nothing recognizable, or buried in the rubble, or who die of indirect consequence of 2 years of war and blockade etc. But even if it was 73,000 thats still an insane number

Oh well in that case yeah, thy weren’t forcible brought to Palestine because they’ve been there as long as Jewish people were. Though the strip specifically was basically the concentration camp they got pushed into over time.

Yea ik they were forced into the strip itself. But I meant that entire area. So his analogy still falls flat

Uncle Ruckus is a great character BECAUSE he’s satirical in everything he does. He’s hilarious because of the ridiculous nature of his outlook. Media literacy should be better taught in schools ISTG.
