I know a girl that got arrested in Iran for not wearing a hijab. Only got freed because her uncle is a high powered lawyer. It’s incredibly tragic what’s occurring and that more death is very likely to come from it, but a regime that oppresses and kills LGBTQ+, women, disabled, etc. is a regime that cannot be allowed to stay in power

I knew a girl whose grandparents were Albanian immigrants. Her grandfather was arrested because one of the bunkers he constructed collapsed (killing someone) and he was either sentenced to death or life. The grandmother was very high society and the family pulled strings and sent them to America. Neat story, reminded me of Kahn and Minh from King of the Hill. Anyway, my question to you, why’d you feel the need to specify gay? Republican by itself gave more than enough info to infer gay.
