dude… the GOP’s entire platform is about enriching corporate and the mega wealthy. establishment democrats have the same problem, but the simple fact is that leftist policies advocate taxing the rich to subsidize social services for the public. democrats do not automatically equal left. liberalism is a pretty centrist ideology aside from its social components, and neoliberalism (as well as corporate dick sucking) has been the democratic platform for decades

🤦 it literally is left vs. right, the ideologies have a lot to do with whether the rich or the working class is empowered. my point was that left vs. right doesn’t necessarily mean republican vs. democrat, though the current GOP is pushing far right wing ideologies pretty consistently. the only real somewhat left politicians in the US are progressive DSA members, and even then they aren’t very far left
