I honestly do wonder if they will attempt that. Lebanon has been unusual in that it’s one of the few places Israel has occupied without attempting to annex and settle. I suspect that’s because Israel would historically rely on Maronite militia proxies in south Lebanon who would not cooperate with that. Perhaps now it will be different.
