Make some friends from the bad parts of Mexico and you’ll give up weed in no time. Knowing my weed habit contributed to my friends dad getting shot and his cousin getting raped was sobering

No. Addiction is a physiological response

OP is describing something psychological (called being weak-willed)

Weak willed, what the hell 😭 bc I’ve been trying to quit smoking weed? Bc it’s a bad coping mechanism for cptsd, ocd, adhd, anxiety and bipolar? I’m so confused

Yes. You’re not addicted to weed. Stop spreading ridiculous misinformation about weed being an addictive gateway drug to cover up you having a lack of better coping mechanism. See a therapist, smart one

I’m medicated and go to therapy twice a week… have you ever opened a book on addiction? Ofc it’s a bad coping mechanism, that’s why I’m tryin to quit.. do you understand addiction? Are you the same person who called an eating disorder being weak willed? Fucking weirdo

No but that person was probably right. Sounds like you’re the one who doesn’t understand addiction considering you’re out here saying you’ve developed a chemical dependency on weed lmao?

My therapists, prescriber and PCP literally call it an addiction and referred me out to drug abuse services? Weird ass

That’s literally the point of my post, that I never got hooked on drugs like that but I smoke too much to the point where it interferes severely with my life so that’s why I want to quit… I never said anything about a chemical dependency, you’re putting words in my mouth

Not according to my doctors and like any peer reviewed source on it? There are two different types of addiction, behavioral and substance… everyone knows this, come on. Never claimed to have a chemical dependency but every source confirms weed addiction or marijuana use disorder is an actual thing and you can experience physical symptoms of withdrawal like lessened appetite, sleep changes etc. it’s just not deadly like with alc and other drugs, ofc I’m not comparing it but when it interferes with

With your life in a significant way, that is called substance abuse. Get real
