Tbh the civil rights movement is a bit different than trans rights. You also need to understand and realize a lot of views people may have could have just been taken from their parents and what they were surrounded by as a kid. People usually don’t support something because it is a topic that is unfamiliar and uncomfortable to them. It’s not because they genuinely hate it but it’s because they’re undereducated on it, so it makes them uncomfortable to be okay/agree with it.
