This dynamic is so confusing fr. He’s simultaneously super pro Israel but the only president who can tell bibi no, also raging antisemite but pretends to be a defender of Jewish students on campus … what a mess

Trumps main moral compass is what gets him the most claps. Anything that feeds his ego, he’ll do it. Tells Bibi no? Claps for humanitarian work. Tells Bibi yes? Claps for not being antisemitic. He doesn’t have any real beliefs, and because of that, he’s incredibly inconsistent. The only reason he’s right wing is because uneducated people tend to be right wing

I agree with most of that but I think power is primarily what he’s after. Which is why he can squeeze bibi more than others but also pleases him when it helps trumps own position
