Perhaps you should run a candidate that’s better than your opponent. A Genocidaire is not any better than a pedo

You guys have such weird fantasies about why Trump got elected.

Nobody had any control, which was part of the problem. Biden was determined to run for a second term, so we had Kamala selected by default instead of a competitive primary

The I/P issue is just a political black hole for anti American people to suck all of the air out of the room while dipshits eat it up. The thing they truly want is Israel to be gone which is both electorally and politically not going to happen.

Say well I don’t really support some of the things Biden did but he was the president so it was his call. I tried to influence him in these ways and this is what I would have done differently. But instead she said she wouldn’t have done anything different from Biden if she was president. Extremely poor political judgment given how unpopular he was

So you think for people to trust her she has to bad mouth the admin she's willing apart of? Somehow that makes her look less hypocritical? You don't maybe that would kill any policy that Biden was trying to push if his own vp was killing his support? This is an unserious criticism. Not only should she have done all of that but she should've known without our retrospect.

Biden was massively unpopular. So unpopular that he dropped out. And she did nothing to separate herself from him. She was his cheerleader saying she wouldn’t do anything different than he did. And at that point the Biden administration wasn’t going to pass anything else anyway, so who cares about what the admin was trying to push

Civil rights were not very popular in the 1960s and yet LBJ had the moral clarity to sign the CRA and VRA before they were broadly popular. No such clarity among centrist Dems, who only run on platforms that have been focus grouped to death

It was obvious on October 8th what Israel would turn this into. There were protests that day in solidarity with Palestinians. My soon to be congresswoman attended one and still gets hate from centrists in the big 26 despite the fact that she was largely proven right

The point is that people like my congresswoman knew that supporting Israel is a losing proposition both morally and electorally on October 8, whereas Biden, Kamala, and the centrists STILL refuse to see that fact and were asleep at the wheel, too focused on what polling and focus groups said instead of taking the winning position of opposing Israel’s genocide.

upvote 3 downvote
🌊
Anonymous replying to -> #2 12w

How are you supposed to know what the winning position without polling? I like how we went to quoting polls when they agreed with us to now saying focusing on polling is bad. If I had to guess you live in a super safe blue state right?

Anonymous replying to -> blue__wave 12w

The polls I cited prove that supporting Israel is currently unpopular. That supporting Israel was becoming more and more unpopular by the day in 2024. The problem was Kamala looking at your poll and seeing “division” and deciding to court the 37% that said that Biden was “balanced” or “supporting Palestinians too much”. The winning proposition would have been to take moral leadership against genocide, and court the 62% at the time who thought we were “supporting Israel too much” or were unsure

The problem is your highest propensity voters (old people) are the most supportive of Israel. You’re trying to live two world at once saying it was politically pragmatic but even if it wasn't they should've done it anyway, just pick one. That 62% wasn’t there at that time. Time moves in one direction just bc something is there now doesn't mean it was then.

A president is supposed to be a leader, not a follower of the polls. Coming out and saying Israel is committing a genocide and we won’t support it anymore would have lost her at most 37% of voters, while winning her anywhere from 22-62% of voters. While also standing on the right side of history and bringing out new voters and expanding the party instead of depending on dying boomers. I really don’t get why this is so hard for centrists like you to get through your thick fucking skulls

🌊
Anonymous replying to -> #2 12w

We’re back to polls being bad ok. That’s not what that means lol you’re assuming so much by saying that lol. 22-62% lmao why are you using the poll numbers like that? True if Kamala said genocide bad it could have got her anywhere from 22%-100% of all voters. Idk this isn’t a serious convo and you’re very angry about it idk what I can say at this point.

I also don’t know to disprove a counterfactual like that. It’s possible she focused too much on Gaza and she got less votes bc of old people and most people didn’t care about Gaza relative to affordability. On top that she would be undermining the active ceasefire talks.
