I love the conservative talking point of “If Trump did [good thing], I bet you’d STILL hate him” because it’s always something he’d never do. The best is when it’s something he’s actually just done the opposite of though.

Y’all hate trump so much this man could literally cure cancer or aids and you’d still hate him. I think some of y’all should learn to separate the person from the action. If Biden did a good thing I would acknowledge it even though I hate him

your other comment didn’t show as I sent that, but you going “oh I agree” w the other person doesn’t address the valid criticism they received (and ignored) about the same talking points you’re re-iterating

He literally slashed cancer and AIDS research funding so you can fuck off with that bs.

How long has those things been funded and how many billions were poured into them for us to still not have a cure

Lmao yeah sorry some of us love our bodies too much to put random shit manufactured by big pharma into it. Even the food you are fed is designed to make you addicted and kill you… yet you’d trust a vaccine!

Hmm imagine that, difficult things are hard to solve. Guess what, HIV/AIDS is no longer a death sentence. People can have it and live completely normal lives thanks to new medications. PrEP can prevent new HIV infections now with almost 100% effectiveness. Certain cancers are basically completely curable now, and others have greatly increased remission rates. Thanks to funding for research which is realistically a tiny percentage of the federal budget.

Acting like you’re smarter than the people that have devoted their lives to curing some of the worst diseases of our time is such a maga thing to do. It’s actually sad

No, I don’t think I’m smarter than those people. But I’m smart enough to recognize that a huge portion of research funding goes to admin and boards at those nonprofits instead of the actual research. Sometimes it’s only a small percentage that goes where it’s supposed to. There’s a lot of waste, and cutting the budget might force them to use the money more efficiently.
