Every time I see a video of zohran he’s just being a really nice guy who actually wants to help people. How can you not like that

Republicans don't like him because he doesn't touch kids

I mean I’m not necessarily a fan of socialism but I can respect that he seems like he’s genuinely trying to make a positive impact

what don’t you like about people getting to see their tax money and government work for them?

things like SOCIAL security and labor unions are examples of what socialism actually is. we were taught to fear it in school so that we never questioned why we don’t get to have as many social safety nets. again, we already put plenty of our money into the system. that’s actually what taxes are for

Obviously the USA is a mixed economy and not a pure capitalist economy, when someone says they aren’t a fan of socialism they typically mean they aren’t a fan of going further towards socialism than the economy already is in a general sense. Sometimes they don’t understand what all counts as socialism or they mean in general rather than listing specific things so it’s better to just ask what they mean

right, so the entire concept of socialism is based on people having more rights and social liberties. you’ll actually see the benefits of being a citizen. the US is insanely capitalistic; socialism is completely attainable. the reason people back away from it is because they don’t even know what it is + all the propaganda being shoved down our throats even in formative years

funny how the average person with no money wants a system that works against them. it screams brainwashing

I’m literally a socialist dude. I’m saying that the way you are approaching #3 is unhelpful. If you truly believe it’s propaganda and brainwashing then have a real conversation with them rather than mocking them. Ask them questions.

when did i mock them? i’m being straightforward without coddling someone who is likely an adult. in your statement, you were kinda defending capitalism. that’s why people started downvoting you. treating someone like they’re a child when you explain it to them creates a permission structure for compromising. i will always be straightforward and deliver facts

I didn’t say treat them like a child. I said ask them questions rather than assuming everything and coming in on a soap box asking rhetorical questions. I wasn’t defending capitalism at all. Not a single thing I said was defending capitalism but solely explaining how views can differentiate and why you should ask questions before talking at someone.

i am also, obviously, a socialist. don’t mistake me saying they have no money as me mocking them. in capitalism, none of us actually have enough money to make the system work which is why it will never work. not having money shouldn’t even be an embarrassing thing. most of us are working class. that is just a fact. capitalism doesn’t work for the working class. it works for billionaires. if you think for a second fhat it doesn’t, then yes, you are still brainwashed

so ask them questions instead of asking them questions…? it was not rhetorical. i genuinely wanted an answer. notice how you created infighting in this situation, and the other person still hasn’t responded?

If you think asking someone questions about their views before jumping into assuming what they do or don’t know is treating them like a child… that’s just dumb. Asking questions is literally the most important part of changing people’s minds or pointing out flaws in concepts

i’m not going to sit here and be policed on how to deliver information to someone. you created a problem out of nowhere. telling me to ask them questions when that’s literally how i started. why don’t you drop some knowledge here, instead? you haven’t said anything constructive

Anonymous replying to -> #4 3d

That’s not a real question. It’s literally a straw man question specifically asking why they don’t like seeing their taxes going to work for them when they said they aren’t necessarily a fan of socialism. That’s not a real question to answer because you jumped like 20 steps to get to that.

You didn’t deliver any information 💀 the only thing of any substance is that social security counts as socialism

I have infact. Constructive criticism is very specifically “don’t just to conclusions about people and their beliefs. Asking questions first is much more effective”

I can’t tell if you actually don’t understand how the way you approached this was completely dishonest, or if you just feel justified in approaching it aggressively assuming anyone who doesn’t must be brainwashed so it’s fine to approach it poorly💀

i didn’t say constructive criticism. i said constructive. you literally haven’t been helpful. you’re just arguing with me about how i deliver information. the reason all of this is happening is because you don’t like how other people say things. this is fucking yikyak. why would i sit here and do a step by step of socialism. no one wants to read all of that. i gave them a few examples of things we already have that could be better. don’t try to school me. worry about yourself

I didn’t say to do a step by step. I said to ask a question. You didn’t deliver anything useful and just used logical fallacies and jumping to conclusions. And constructive criticism IS constructive 💀
