Not completely imo. Media helped fuel it. Maybe like 60-70% his fault but the media was like putting a leaf blower on a bonfire

Yes but also the media outrage. And it was peaceful for the most part, albeit a few outstanders. Media portrayed it as a riot which it simply wasn’t. I had a friend who was in DC at the time and it just wasn’t how the media portrayed it

Or do you wanna talk about the capital police officer who dropped off pipe bombs the night before at the DNC/RNC headquarters? That day isn’t all what they are portraying. (Albeit that is from a private investigation, not official yet)

It wasn’t peaceful for the most part: Cops got beat, elected officials lives were threatened, people chanted “Hang Mike Pence” Is any of that peaceful?

I want to talk about how you’re trying to say the media spun it, but regardless of how they did, those who went to Trumps rally went to the capitol after. And so they weren’t misled by media.

Calling an insurrection of our nation’s capital during which there was vandalism on capital buildings, law enforcement officers assaulted, and threats on the lives of elected politicians “peaceful” is absolutely insane.

Read what I said again. I didn’t cal the whole thing peaceful. I said it was peaceful FOR THE MOST PART. This is how rumors start. You twist words to fit your own personal bias and narrative.

Around 2,000+ people were at January 6th according to the FBI. Around 1,500-1,700 arrests were made for crimes that had been committed that day. That’s not a few outliers.

Yeah so the whole issue is that those who were peaceful were “the few.” Peaceful protesters were the OUTLIERS that day which is the entire issue with this point of your argument. The original post you made is, of course, correct as everyone should validate your sources, but apparently you need to take your own advice bc your facts are wrong.

Dude you could call the kent state protests “mostly peaceful” because the majority of protesters didn’t get shot but that’s certainly a disingenuous way to frame things
