If I had any influence in the Democratic party, I’d encourage them to adopt a pro-gun stance. Not b/c I like or use guns (have only rly used a BB), but b/c I don’t want pro-gun folks to drag us into a MAGA govt so they can keep their guns
You’re overestimating how much most people care about guns.

I disagree. You could say dems should move to the center on literally every issue, but that doesn’t mean they should. If having a pro gun restriction party means fewer mass shootings then that’s worth ut

Guns are one of the few issues I agree more with Republican on. Definitely nowhere near enough to vote Republican but enough to be annoyed. The way I see it, gun rights are human rights, just like freedom of religion and freedom to a fair trial.

Also, if you are noticing democracy under attack and rising fascism, why would you actively seek to disarm ordinary working class people?

I am in the middle. I see your point of view 100%. I am in Maine, a state where a lot of people love to hunt. On the other hand, the threat of mass shootings and school shootings, etc… needs to be taken seriously and I feel like it hasn’t been taken seriously at all.
