Im all for big money and insider trading out of politics. But how do we ensure that people who work for government arent super poor after they leave office?

“People who work for government” and “elected officials” are two different things. Millions of people work for the government

Their reward for their work shouldn't be a hefty wage, it should be the good they promote in society (along with enough wages to keep them afloat).

Assuming you were referring to elected officials, their $174,000 salary is plenty, but I would support free or subsidized living quarters in DC, which is their biggest financial concern

The vast majority of government workers aren’t in a position to influence public policy, although yes the ones that are shouldn’t be able to take bribes
