A historic blizzard of 20 inches plus hit New York City recently, but you’d never know. Because instead of enriching contractors, zohran Mamdani used that money to bump shovelers pay from 19, to 30. And what do you know. The sidewalks are clear. Wild.

I love that #1 can just come in post incorrect information and derail the conversation. A lie circles the world before the truth even puts its shoes on or something like that

No he didn’t, the $30 is after 40 hours in one week Aka overtime

No. It’s 30 for 40 hours, 45 for overtime. Why’d you just make shit up and lie.

Uh huh. So, to be clear, you did just make up bullshit to defame mamdani. Why should we even believe you?

I didn’t make anything up, what I said was the truth Mamdani isn’t paying the people, quick loon and seems like many people haven’t been paid since January

The truth is not “technically true but intentionally leaving out key info to mislead people.”

Your post would technically follow the same rule, since many people have not been paid yet

On top of that, the issue with shovelers being paid late is a long standing issue, and was an issue in the Adam’s admin. The difference now? When they get their money they worked for, they’ll be paid more. This is a win, cope.

That’s not a fault of the Mamdani admin, that’s just a fact of the job. That was a case under Adam’s too.

They’ll get paid more for this one singular snowstorm yeah

Well, sometime in the next 12 week they’ll get paid

Nice moving of the goalposts. And as mushroom said, that’s the norm, especially considering the paperwork was all pen and paper and they get paid via a check in the mail, not direct deposit.

Yes. Mamdani *should* change that. But he already is paying them more, one fucking win at a time. Can’t be mad at him for inheriting a nightmare from hilarious adult baby Eric Adam’s

I thought we were referring to the snow shoveling program in its entirety instead of this one singular instance

You could’ve looked up “mamdani snow shoveler 30 dollar pay bump” and you would’ve seen article after article discussing it. In fact, you must’ve seen it and ignored it, because you provided “evidence” that you MUST have had to google to find.

higher pay for a top 10 blizzard in history makes sense

Btw the first article when you search that exact term talks extensively about the non payment issues and how people walked away because they couldn’t go that long without a paycheck

Yeah man I’m sure it does. The media despises mamdani. But that ain’t his fault. This has been happening for decades, I’m sure he’d fix it if he could.
