Remember when Saddam Hussein died and we acted like that was a big win for the people of Iraq and then people even worse than Saddam Hussein started fighting each other for power, making everything demonstrably worse for everyone there and only harming everyone in the region by destabilizing everything?

It was a good thing for the people of Iraq. The problem was that iraq was essentially abandoned afterward instead of being aided in restabilization

Bro thinks these events aren’t inextricably tied to one another, do you think it was good that we killed Gaddafi too? Even though that sparked a civil war that’s been ongoing ever since in a country that used to not be embroiled in a civil war?

Well (so far) we are in Venezuela. As bad as Trump is, he is very critical of the failed efforts in Iraq, Libya, etc. Perhaps- incentive for his admin to prioritize putting in said effort
