so what exactly will then? because the right sure loves to denounce any our ideas without suggesting anything meaningful on their end. they say it’s a mental health issue and yet vote against government funded programs to support mental health initiatives

When taking into account for how much guns are actually in this country, more than any country has ever had, banning the sale of certain weapons or accessories doesn’t stop violence. A majority of mass shootings are related to interpersonal disputes, often gang related ones. We could ideally curb a majority of mass shootings by fixing socioeconomic factors that lead to that crime being committed in the first place-

Ideally through means like universal healthcare and solving economic disparities in various communities that struggle with crime. Only a very small percent of mass shootings are ones where people are killing indiscriminately in a frenzy. As mentioned with the amount of guns in this country, millions are unregistered firearms. It is quite easy for someone to obtain one through illegal means rather than going to a gun store and buying one legally.

For one I really don’t care if you block me, it really means nothing and shouldn’t. And 2: Every single country doesn’t have the amount of guns the US is in. The US in a way has created a problem no other country has ever experienced, we have more guns than there are people, not a single country has ever experienced this. Stopping the sale of AR-15’s or guns as a whole would only leave law abiding citizens defenseless while criminals continue to obtain them.

I wrote my ideas below about other meaningful solutions. I believe a lot of issues around gun violence stems a lot from socioeconomic issues that cause violence and gun crime to start in the first place
