But this doesn’t really answer the question, like you explained why it has to happen and like I said, they deserve protections and basic respect But that doesn’t really get at the end result; increased objectification? like why continue to promote something and celebrate the people who create that thing if it ultimately is a net negative to society?

and maybe this is about an allergy, but whenever America realized that cigarettes weren’t healthy for you, they didn’t lock up smokers they stopped letting cigarettes be advertised everywhere. I don’t really understand the putting the blame on the consumer, especially when dealing with something that creates addiction.

it’s not about promoting it, decriminalization protects women trapped in the sex trade under capitalism. the abolition of capitalism and necessity to sell one’s body to another in order to live is what’s needed

well, cigarettes, like porn, are pushed onto people because they’re addictive and because they’re addictive, they’re profitable. the issue is not the consumer, it’s the economic system which expanded the consumer classes: capitalism

Frankly, I think the real problem is societies sanctification and worship of sex, as if it’s some amazing life changing thing It’s a 8/10 experience that young boys especially are pushed into thinking it’s something it’s not
