I don’t care for cuomo but hats off to him for condemning his audience when they booed at him congratulating Mamdani. We need less of the catty drama in politics

Have you only just now learned about the concept of politics?

Zohran proved that you can win with positivity. My point is you cant say “respect to cuomo because we need less catty drama” when he was the source of all the negativity. He had to “condemn” his followers for… following him?

I’m comparing his approach to someone like Donald Trump who would quite literally deny defeat and demand their followers overthrow their opponent to put them in power

Cuomo was this elections trump all the way until it was over. He just didnt have a capitol to riot at. Stringing a wrongs together into one meek “hey guys stooooop” isnt worthy of praise. You dont set a house on fire and get celebrated after you dump 1 water bucket on it. I hope cuomo enjoys public life and i never hear of him again

I think you over exaggerate. I don’t care for cuomo but it sets a good example in our current state of politics

I swear you’ve never heard of politics in your life until now. It’s cutthroat all the way until there’s a winner and then you bid them adieu at the end. It’s how it’s always been, with few exceptions. It isn’t personal, it’s literally just people with competing ideas for solutions to the same problems. It’s people like you that take it so personally that are the issue

Theres a certain level of respect politicians had for each other, at least before 2015. Maybe you have amnesia and missed the obscene levels of racism in those attack ads, but what we see in our current state is not normal and shouldnt be worthy of praise. Also you wanna talk about biding your opponent adieu, only one candidate actually called to congratulate zohran on the victory, i will let you take a little guess on that one.

Bidding adieu does not mean you’re best friends lol it’s about moving on. And talk about amnesia, Obama ran an entire smear campaign on Romney SPECIFICALLY with the goal of trying to suggest there was something fundamentally wrong with Romney as a person not just as a candidate. The same was done to Bush and McCain. There is a cognitive dissonance people have with Trump that seem to have them convinced he broke the system when all he did was play the game the most effectively

I didnt say best friends. Sliwa was able to run a respectable campaign against zohran. Zohran was able to run a respectable campaign against sliwa and cuomo. Cuomo put out ai slop about zohran contributing to another 9/11. Bffr
