Hot take but subtitles would’ve been nice for the halftime show. Even if you don’t speak Spanish, some of his songs have a lot of meaning and they should make it as accessible as possible

I mean subtitles would be nice but we’re half of the songs even necessary or appropriate? I mean the first song he sung was about how he gets new girls constantly, not really something to be teaching children. To be fair most English songs aren’t appropriate either but why not find an artist who has general good morals in their songs

“I Can’t Feel My Face” by The Weeknd is believed to be about drug addiction. “Where Have You Been” by Rihanna isn’t exactly PG either

Exactly my point that most English songs aren’t great either and most were chosen for shows. That’s just the world we live in I mean one of the most popular songs in the nation for months was WAP. It’s sad really. Remember back in the early 2000s and 2010s sure some songs were bad but not as many as there are now

Ehhhh I don’t think those were great either 💀 Ke$ha waking up in the morning (feeling like P. Diddy?! 🤔) and brushing her teeth with a bottle of jack, Lady Gaga taking a ride on a “disco stick”, Rihanna saying chains and whips excite her 💀💀💀

I think we were just innocent back then and didn’t understand some of the double entendres and didn’t ask questions about the more obvious lyrics

Again you’re pointing out more bad songs. I’m not disagreeing. But as a country and generation we should be celebrating the good songs not the bad ones. There are good songs out there that aren’t so sexualized. Also, yes it was more hidden back then although those songs do have hidden meanings they aren’t going outright sayings dirty things. But again okder songs were more appropriate in proportion to today
